The Board of Intermediate Education (AP) will release the short marks memos for 1st and 2nd-year exams 2021 after the results. Even though inter-board gives data on grade vs marks, it had become difficult for universities to convert grades into marks. 
However, the grading system turned to be a failure, as top universities that offer UG admission across the country accept only marks in their respective application forms.
The idea was to avoid any sort of stress on students with regard to marks, as there were many instances of students committing suicide for scoring fewer marks in the exams. Three years back, the grading system was implemented in AP Inter Exams where the board declared grades instead of marks. The marks will be calculated out of 1000, and the grades will be allocated accordingly. In order to avoid a hassle-free admission process for AP Intermediate passouts in other states, the board has decided to declare the grades and marks in the mark sheet.
